Helping you to help yourself
CALM Crohn’s disease through
FOOD, EXERCISE, THOUGHT and ACTION.
A diagnosis of Crohn’s, whether recent or long-lived is challenging in so many ways. Amongst other things, it can be painful, frightening, exhausting, uncomfortable, embarrassing and seriously restrict one’s diet. Over the years, I have gone through many stages in my relationship with Crohn’s. Several years ago, faced with immuno suppressants, and, or, surgery, I embraced an alternative approach to Crohn’s.
This blog is in no way a claim to cure Crohn’s, neither is it in any way suggesting you throw away the meds. Rather, it is intended to encourage you to go on your own voyage to find what does and doesn’t work for you and to build upon it to help yourself to find ways to ease your life and calm the dis ease that Crohn’s disease is.
I want this blog to inspire people to not resign themselves to a life of illness, that they might think prevents them from living a full life. There may need to be sacrifices along the way, especially in relation to food and drink, but if that means calming Crohn’s and not feeling defeated by it then that might make all the difference.
